The Most Popular Listings of July

Four of the five most-viewed listings on The New York Times’s Find a Home site in July featured views — of New York City, bodies of water or mountains. The outlier: a smartly renovated Brooklyn rowhouse.

The fifth most popular listing in July was a six-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom renovated house with its brownstone charm intact. The home is set up as a triplex, with a deck overlooking the backyard, above a garden-level rental unit.

In fourth place was a one-bedroom, two-bathroom condo looking out on St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the rest of Manhattan, with lots of closets and a washer-dryer, in a full-service building. Sorry, dogs are not allowed.

The third most popular listing was a five-bedroom, five-and-a-half-bathroom home with multiple fireplaces, sunny rooms and water views, on three acres with more than 100 yards of private shoreline.

Coming in second was this brand-new, five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom home set among the pines on the northern shore of Lake Tahoe. Striking views from decks on two levels and a glass elevator are among the amenities.

Holding on to first place since June was a three-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bathroom home in a bucolic landscape. An open family room occupies much of the main level, and bedrooms are situated with mountain views in mind.
